The '''Time Flute''' (Japanese: '''ときのふえ''' ''Time Flute'') is an item exclusive to [[Pokémon Colosseum]]. There are a total of three available.


The '''Time Flute''' is an item that, when used, will awaken {{p|Celebi}} to have it completely purify a [[Shadow Pokémon]] in [[Pokémon Colosseum]]. They are "one-use" items and only 3 of them may be obtained throughout the whole game. A Time Flute can purify a Shadow Pokémon completely, curing the Shadow Pokémon without any need for special treatment at all. It can only be used in the presence of the [[Relic Stone]], however.

If the player inserts the [[Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc]] in and has all the [[Shadow Pokémon]] purified, Celebi will appear to be traded to the [[Generation III]] main series games.

Also, if the player purifies all 48 Pokémon in the game ''without using a time flute'' and then completes [[Mt. Battle]] with Pokémon from their Gen. III game pak, [[ho-oh]] will fly down and join the Colosseum party.  If the player's party is full, ho-oh will be put in the box instead.
The Time Flute cannot be held. This is to prevent it being held by a Pokémon [[trade]]d to the [[core series]] games, where the item does not exist.

Manual activation
