VA

According to Maddie Blaustein, Eric Stuart is Butch's VA. Eric Stuart even said so on his web site (or so I hear). Plus, in one of the Chronicles episodes where Butch appeared, Matt Mitler was not listed in the credits. He hasn't done voices for Pokémon since season one. --PAK Man

Rubbish article

Practically the ONLY important information in this article (not counting his Pokémon team) is that everyone gets his name wrong. Other than that, this article says NOTHING about character. I think it should be considered as a stub. Yeah, in the terms of length it meets the non-stub criteria. But in the terms of informativity, it does NOT! There are several more articles like this, that angers me. I'm basically not good at Anime Characters, so I can't add much to this article. But if you can, please do it. --Maxim 14:17, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Butch's Voice Its not an opinion

Since people are going play the Opinion card, here is a clip of Butch, then two clips of Pokémon video with Harvey Fierstein replacing the audio. There is some syncing issues.

To me it sounds mildly similar, but it's hard to tell unless I listen closely, because of the tone. I don't think it's enough to warrant a trivia. Nevertheless, it is an opinion, regardless of my input. ~ solaris 05:04, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

I fail to see how this is an opinion, that's like trying to say Meowth's Dub accent isn't a Brooklyn thing Yami 05:18, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, actually, that's an opinion too. ~ solaris 05:20, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Not to get off track, but how is that? Yami 05:25, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
they have similar voices, but not the same. trivia inclusion denied. -- MAGNEDETH 05:39, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Yami. Quit bitching. Any comparison made to another thing is an opinion. Those sites you linked where this comparison is made are ALSO opinions. They're fan sites. Opinions, speculation, comparisons...whatever...cannot go in articles. Period. -Sketch 11:55, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Email Butch's VAs. If they say they were asked specifically to voice like Fierstein, then it's good to go. If they were asked to just do a low, raspy voice, then no. My bet's on the director asking the latter of them. TTEchidna 23:13, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Keep it civil Sketch, there is no need for that.

There are multiple comparisons on here, comparing Nidoran♀ with shinny Nidoran♂ is an opinion. Comparing Squirtl's tail with a squirrel is an opinion. Even comparing the names of rocket duos to old west figures is an opinion if we use your logic.

Also I doubt Eric would e-mail me back. I once got a e-mail back from Veronica Taylor who gave me some e-mail addresses to e-mail and complain about the voice change. However, I doubt a man who's not did that voice in 3-4 maybe 5 years would remember the voice, or the inspirational. Yami 13:53, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Last time I am going to tell you, Yami. You have NO authority to tell anyone to do ANYTHING. You do it again and you'll be blocked. Last warning. Understood? I did not attack you, I told you to quit bitching, I.E. complaining. -Sketch 19:08, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Except the duos are actual names of real people if you haven't noticed. And they're all criminals. Squirtle's tail is part of the psysiology. And I changed the Nidoran trivia so you'd quit finding crappy examples of opinion... Also, Butch was in a recent episode. The one where we meet Hippopotas' dad, remember? R.A. Hunter Blade 14:17, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
*Most of those figures were villains, and technically that's an opinion to call them that. Harvey Fierstein is a real person.
* Squrtle's tail is meant to look like a small wave, like Wartortle's Tail is meant to look like rapid waves. But even saying that is an opinion.
* You shouldn't have removed the Ninoran stuff. You're not suppose to edit things to prove a point or for personal battles. That's one of the few rules Bulbapedia shares with Wikipedia.
** Also how is that Ninoran♂ Trivia any different now then the Harvey Fierstein trivia? The wording on the Harvey Fierstein Trivia was
** "Butch's raspy voice and slight effeminate manner of speech is similar to that of Harvey Fierstein"
** Shiny Ninoran♂ is a whole different shade of blue then its female counterpart.
*That's the new voice actors, not the old one. The new one is only emulating the old voice actor. We'd have to contact Eric Stuart the original VO. Yami 16:19, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Wow. You probably didn't even look to see what I did to the trivia did you? And a freaking "personal battle"? That's more of what you're having... because you're the only one who sees any of what you're saying as true. And I'm not the only one who's said something. Nothing personal about it for me, at least, not untill you start attacking me. R.A. Hunter Blade 18:06, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
I saw you edit, you replaced based on with similar which makes it no less opinion then what the HF voice is being called. I didn't call this a personal battle, and I didn't attack you but you are doing a fine job of attacking me. You might want to calm down some. Yami 18:34, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
You don't get the point. I specifically said in my summary that it can't be "based on" if we don't have proof it was actually based on N♀'s normal colors. And you kinda did, indirectly, say it was a personal battle. "You're not suppose to edit things to prove a point or for personal battles" is what you said. Tell me, what did I do to prove a point? The way it was worded WAS speculation. As for you thinking that I'm attacking you, what's your base for that? Saying that you've had 5 people disagree with you isn't attacking you. R.A. Hunter Blade 18:50, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Alan Prieto voices too to Burch in DP Battle Dimension

Team Table

could we not put a pokémon team table for butch and cassidy for example his raticate.

Raticate
Butch's Raticate
Debut EP057

Raticates first appearance was The Breeding Center Secret. Raticate is the Pokémon assigned to his and Cassidy's duo. Despite how it looks, Raticate manages to stay strong in battle and got in many good attacks before being defeate. Butch and Cassidy share usage of Raticate. It often appears at the end of their Team Rocket Motto, similar to Meowth.

Raticate's attacks are Tackle.

"Butch's" Raticate

I think it is obvious that it is meant to be the same Raticate as the one Cassidy had in The Breeding Centre Secret. Should it be changed? XVuvuzela2010X 00:42, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Unless they have both appeared in the same episode together? XVuvuzela2010X 00:43, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Hitmontop and Mightyena

Hitmontop has appeared in three anime episodes and three Side Stories, and Mightyena has appeared in at least four side stories. Since most of you seem to be fans of giving recurring character's pokemon their own articles based on prominince, I think it's only fair that these two get articles too. Now that I think about it, so should Cassidy's Sableye and Houndour!Confusion 21:05, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

Meowth

Does the Meowth that appeared alongside him in JN095 count as being on hand?--BigDocFan (talk) 19:40, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

The episode suggests that Meowth belongs to Billy. But then who knows? Apparently this episode served as Botch and Cassidy's farewell. I don't think we'll see a new episode showing them again.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 23:32, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
