:No, what you mentioned is actually an intrinsic game mechanic that always applies. The movement order is determined at the start of the turn, regardless of Speed changes (excluding Quash and After You). Likewise, in the turn in Mega Evolves Mega Banette doesn't get priority with Prankster, and hitting a Pokémon with String Shot in a Double Battle doesn't affect when it moves that turn. However, Speed changes do happen immediately (for the purposes of Gyro Ball, Electro Ball, etc.) --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 10:54, 9 December 2013 (UTC) | |||

I've noticed that both the player and the horde will only hit the target 2 times when a move that hits 2 to 5 times is used (presumably to save time; having an Exeggcute horde use Bullet Seed all the time is annoying as heck and the devs probably noticed). Can it be checked whether this is a fact and not just immense luck from my side, and if it's true, could it be added somewhere in the article? :I tried, and had a wild Scorupi in a Horde hit me with Pin Missile 5 times (while all the other Skorupi were still present), so this is not the case. Also worth noting that Exeggcute in Hordes do not know Bullet Seed. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 04:52, 30 July 2016 (UTC) |

I have added a horde encounter list that includes horde Pokémon. Blissymaster (talk) 23:26, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Information about Hordes
I encountered some interesting things about hordes. It seems that when a horde Pokémon becomes paralysed, its speed is not decreased for that turn and is in its normal speed priority (e.g. I paralyse the fastest Aron. The turn I paralyse it, it still goes first before the other Aron). It only seems to occur for that turn. I'm not sure if it occurs with other speed lowering moves but it could be that the speed order may already set for that turn.
Also, like I mention on the Roar discussion page, if a horde Pokémon uses Roar, Roar doesn't exit the battle but switches my Pokémon to another one.--Wowy (talk) 10:19, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
- No, what you mentioned is actually an intrinsic game mechanic that always applies. However, Speed changes do happen immediately (for the purposes of Gyro Ball, Electro Ball, etc.) --SnorlaxMonster 10:54, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Effort Values
With hordes being the most effective way to EV train in X and Y, it would be helpful to have a column in the table that listed the effort values given by the pokemon in the horde. I would add this myself, but I suck with tables. Ctom42 (talk) 15:32, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- It seems like the table for the List of Horde Encounters section is based on a template that does not have a parameter for EVs, so it would be very difficult to add a column for that without changing the entire template and affecting every table on every location page that lists wild Pokémon and their encounter rates. Multi-hit moves
Svenskig (talk) 21:13, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
