== Determining Inver's Items ==
Hello all, I'm new here but I just had to comment on how Inver gives out certain items. I've been experimenting with it for a while and I think I've figured out how it works.
Your rating determines what kind of item you recieve and is dependant on how many super-effective hits you landed on his Pokemon minus the amount of not-very-effective hits.
:*A score of 0 or below results in, "I'm not sure if you understand Inverse Battles..." with an Oran Berry reward.
:*A score of 1 to 3 results in, "You understand Inverse Battles..." with a Sitrus Berry reward.
:*A score of 4 to 6 results in, "You understand Inverse Battles pretty well" with a damage reducing berry reward.
:*A score of 7 to 9 results in, "You understand Inverse Battles perfectly!" with a stone reward.
:*Finally, a score of 10 or mores results in a Rare Candy reward (I don't remember what he says though. I always stop at 7 now since I'm trying for Dusk Stones.)
In addition, if none of your Pokemon are KOed you'll receive three of a whichever item you win.

:For whatever it's worth, I did an Inverse Battle to attempt to help research this.  Wasn't easy, but I finally managed a score of 12 (ended up with my Linoone using Surf against an Amoonguss that was recovering with Black Sludge and Ingrain, while using gratuitous amounts of healing items so I could land as many super effective hits as possible before KOing it).  His message is "You're an expert at Inverse Battles. I'm no match for you."  Then he gave me three Rare Candies (I hadn't lost any Pokémon).  <small>- ''unsigned comment from [[User:Missingno. Master|Missingno. Master]] ([[User talk:Missingno. Inver's Berries

Quite possibly random berries? Page says 3 Occa, but I just received 3 Sitrus. Anyone receive anything different? It's a daily thing, so I would assume that the berries are different each time. KurosakisTwin (talk) 05:19, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

I received Tanga Berries. I wanted to say no thank you, I'm good on Berries, but I couldn't reject his kindness. CycloneGU (talk) 07:46, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
It seems he gives you two or three types of berries, everything after that is just Sitrus Berries. IIRC the first few times his dialogue is "You understand Inverse Battles very well" where subsequent times are just "You understand Inverse Battles...." --Stratelier 18:45, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
I've noticed that Inver's comments seem to vary with the reward he gives you. For example:
  • If Inver says "You understand Inverse Battles pretty well", I get one (or three) damage-reducing berries.
  • If he says only that "You understand Inverse Battles...", I always get Sitrus Berries.
  • If he says "I'm not sure if you understand Inverse Battles...", I get Oran Berries.
That last one in particular was from a battle that took over a dozen turns to win (mainly between my Lanturn and his Lightningrod Rhyperior; they resisted everything the other could throw at 'em). --Stratelier 06:48, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Inver

Lost to him twice. First time was a Flareon followed by a Houndoom, then a Bisharp, second he lead with a Gogoat. TheMysteriousX (talk) 15:48, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

I didn't jot down my lineup today, but he ended with a Shedinja, which doesn't match any of the lineups on the page. It was interesting to note that the number of weaknesses on Shedinja is actually increased in this format, making it a bad choice for the format.
I'll jot down future lineups and update the page as necessary. CycloneGU (talk) 07:45, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
I had a Bisharp, a Masquerain and a Gourgeist with a Rocky Helmet. Salix (talk) 02:40, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
I've heard that his team is just a random selection of battle facility Pokémon (this isn't from the guidebook, just something I read online). I'm inclined to believe this, and it's just that pre-Champion they're level 55 and post-Champion they're level 65. --SnorlaxMonster 18:06, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Inverse House

Noticed a group of Lv.65 Pokémon listed in the same table. Guessing this is a post-E4 thing? If so, there are probably more post-E4 lineups and we should use a separate table. Unless it's the last group after you defeat every other team, and he no longer challenges you? CycloneGU (talk) 02:36, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Lose against Inver

I lost against him to test what is said on the wiki, and I didn't win any object, just lost poké dollars. Or my english is so bad that I didn't understand well ? Or Inver give items but doesn't tell the player, so maybe I've won berries and I'm not able to check ?

Also, I think the type of object depends on the number of super effective attacks you do. Gizmonster (talk) 03:26, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Inverted type immunities

I was wondering early on if elemental immunities would be counted as double weaknesses (out of curiosity more than anything), but nope, it appears that elemental immunities are just single weaknesses in an Inverse Battle. E.g. I took in my Hawlucha and used Flying Press (Fighting+Flying-type damage) on his Trevenant and found it to be 1x effective. Since FP is normally 2x on Grass and 0x on Ghost, and inverted it did 1x damage, this means Fighting was only 2x on Ghost (as a 4x multiplier would have produced a "super effective" message even after considering the 1/2x Flying vs. Grass modifier). --Stratelier 18:51, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
