^^ until I can actually ADD that, I suppose I'll just place the big leaf into the list shared by Pikachu and Shroomish. I'm going to venture to guess that, since nobody else seems to have noticed it, it should go under the rare category. If someone wants more out of this, they can get it so that i can upload my image.

Starting to think Shroomish might have simply been mis-grouped. I just got a blue feather, blue scale, rabuta berry, and white beard. NONE of which shrromish are supposed to be able to find, according to the current list. Other then the rabuta berry, this actually seems to more closely match Jigglypuffs list. Go Figure. I'll hold off on any more changes until this gets looked at for a few days.

== Possible accessories for each Pokemon ==

I updated the wiki page with new accurate data for Pokemon Platinum. I used an emulator with cheat engine and a bot to get a very big drop sample for each Pokemon. Every Pokemon has a drop table of 10 accessories. Certain accessories are more rare than others. You can't own more than 9 copies of the same accessories. The Pokemon will give a berry instead of giving a 10th copy. This means once you have 9 copies of each of the 10 possible accessories, all you can get is berries. All Pokemon give all berries from Cornn to Belue. Trainer Id and Secret Trainer id doesn't affect the accessories. Drop rates for Diamond and Pearl are different.

:Can you ''only'' get the Berries if you have 9 copies of an Accessory already? Or, like, if you only have 1 of each Accessory, would it be possible to pick up a Berry?
:Also, why did you remove the rarity information entirely? You said you had a large sample (how big?); can you tell us anything about the rates? Or is there maybe a problem, like you didn't track your data well enough to separate when one thing was at max? Normally, one of the ten accessories is about x5 more rare than the others. Other accessories have similar rates. Homonym

Albeit minor (only consisting in the presence of wild Kecleon and one Go-Rock Grunt), there's also a location called Amity Square in Fall City. Even if that one doesn't deserve its own article, I propose a redirect of this to Amity Square (Sinnoh) --Johans 23:09, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

There are two Viridian Forests too. If the other one gets an article, I think we should do as we did with Viridian Forest, since Ranger's a side game too, even if it has greater links to the versions. --TTEchidna 00:52, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Nah, it doesn't deserve its own article (not more than Viridian Forest (Channel) did). How about just a link to Fall City? --Johans 01:34, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Yes, a simple mention like: "In Pokémon Ranger, there is also a small location in Fall City called Amity Square." Brief and simple. Like the area itself. --DarkfireTaimatsu 01:54, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Oddity

I had my Pikachu in the Square today and I got a Magost Berry, but it's not listed as one of the items that Pikachu can find... Manga-in-a-bottle

The Pokémon can all find berries, and they all find the same types of berries. --Shiny Noctowl 14:10, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Shouldn't the article be updated then? I've not experimented that, but the Prima guide and Serebii mention it. --Johans 05:18, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
LOL, I just got a Magost Berry myself, while walking with my Buneary. --Johans 06:31, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Particularly in regard to berries, the item list seems incomplete...several berries are supposedly found in Amity Square (like Durin Berry and Watmel Berry, to name 2)) but aren't on the list at all. --Maki 10:31, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree. I just found a Rabuta Berry walking around with Drifloon and was scratching my head for a moment. -- Chris 09:38, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
I was gonna say the same thing about berries not listed- my Skitty found a Rabuta Berry! - unsigned comment from KazeHaru Hime (talkcontribs)

Mr. Backlot?

I think one of the townspeople in Hearthome City says that Mr. Backlot (the owner of the mansion and the Trophy Garden) also owns Amity Square. I'm not sure, though...anyway, should this be added?? - unsigned comment from Maki (talkcontribs)

Yes, someone does mention that. I agree that it should be added, but under the "Trivia" section. Shiny?! 13:23, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Added. Cheers. -- Chris 09:50, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Watmel Berry

I was walking with my pachirisu and it found a watmel berry.I don't know if it is common or rare or very rare.--Darkmaster0

Hmm... I think those can be found with anyone; I remember finding a Watmel with a Jigglypuff... TTEchidna 19:57, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

New glitch?

I was playing platinum and walked out of amity square with my empoleon using the walkthrough walls cheat (not around the building through it) and went into a battle. In the battle there were 2 Lucas and 1 sent out my origin giratina and the other sent out a glitch Pokémon. Has anyone else seen this???????? Darkmaster0 02:37, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

I wish.--Tavisource 02:40, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

So you don't believe me? p.s. both glitch pokemon (there was one on the enemy team too) use struggle then faint. Also I was battling a psyduck but there was a shadow off to the side and there were sparkles coming off of nothing to the left. None of the glitches has names. Darkmaster0 02:43, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

So was the battle in the grass, or in a building? - unsigned comment from Tavisource (talkcontribs)
Try it again and videotape it. Subsequently post it to YouTube. Then we'll talk. Sorry we don't initially take you seriously, but we've had too many people try to sell BS glitches on us before and be unable to back it up. --ニョロトノ666 02:45, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Question

does walking in Amity Square with your pokémon cause it to raise any extra happiness? (e.g. seemed to remember that was mentioned somewhere and also many of the allowed pokémon are Happiness evolvers.) ZaphodBeeblebrox 21:47, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Only Happiny and Buneary evolve by happiness and are let in. Dolphins_are_awesome! 15:53, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Not that I think they're still looking, but that really didn't answer the question. Maybe Zaphod just wants footprint ribbons faster, or is just curious about details. I'd answer, but I'm not sure. Zaphod mentioned your answer in the question and it would seem that s/he just wants to know if pokemon get happy faster there than the general pokeworld. Silvermoonstar3 00:49, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Entrance

Look at the Pokémon on the entrance gate in Platinum. Torchic is on it. Torchic isn't in even Platinum's Sinnoh Dex, so how did the artists know about it?--Nostalgia 23:37, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Just because most people in Sinnoh don't know about Torchic doesn't mean other people don't. Besides, is it that big of a deal?--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 01:00, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Item name - Rounder Stone or Glitter Boulder

Icons

The icons for the Pokémon who are allowed in the Square in Platinum only are sized 32×32. However, the others are all different resolutions. Should the others be changed to be 32×32? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 23:01, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

What? --RexRacer -talk 23:03, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Here's some examples.
a:File:Amityturtwig.png a:File:Amitygrotle.png a:File:Amitytorterra.png
See? All of them are the same resolution: 32×32.
Now, here are some others.
a:File:Amitypikachu.png a:File:Amityclefairy.png a:File:Amitysyduck.png
See? They're all different resolutions. What I was saying is, we should resize all of them to be 32×32. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 23:05, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
I couldn't tell the difference without actually going and looking at the images, and it telling me that they were different. I don't think that it is a big problem...--RexRacer -talk 23:07, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
But it would be just like the regular game sprites: All of them with a set resolution. Otherwise, the regular game sprites should be trimmed down to their actual size. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 23:08, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Instead of trying ot convince me, why don't you just do it yourself? It's not like anyone's going to yell at you about it. --RexRacer -talk 23:11, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
I can't do it myself because the icons are transparent and I have no way to re-transperencize them after I do the re-sizing. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 23:15, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
No offense, but I don't think anyone else cares enough about this to do it.--RexRacer -talk 23:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Then I could talk to TTE about it. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 23:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Knowing him, I doubt that he will care.--RexRacer -talk 23:20, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
He has re-sized wrong-sized sprites before. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 23:21, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
If you wanna resize the Amity sprites, go for it. Judging by the ones ripped from Platinum, their true size is in fact 32x32. So go for it. You don't need my permission. TTEchidna 02:52, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Berry man

There's a man in the Platinum Amity Square that gives out berries in fives. Should it be mentioned in the article? - unsigned comment from Kaisi (talkcontribs)

Locked

Why is the paged locked if there's a tag that says it's incomplete? I'm finally there in Platinum, and I was going to add more Platinum item data, but apparently TTEchidna's locked it down today. Satosuke 01:52, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Just be patient. ht14 02:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
New users can't edit it. IDK why he put it like that, but until you are autoconfirmed, you can't touch it. You can either meet those requirements, or you can post the information here for one of us to do on your behalf. — THE TROM — 02:05, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm not a New User, I've just been editing numerous pages recently (and I've been editing for a couple years now). It just says when I'm editing this particular page Note: this Page is Locked by TTEchida. Satosuke 02:12, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
You need to confirm your email address. — THE TROM — 02:15, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
No, besides the fact I just changed my email address and reconfirmed it. And now it's reconfirmed, and it's the same as before. My email address is, as it has been for years now, confirmed. I don't know what you're talking about -THE TROM-. In any case, reconfirming it also didn't change the fact than TTEchidna made it so "only established users" can edit it. Strange, but I was able to edit it despite that note. This note didn't appear on any other page. I'm still wondering why it's like that. Satosuke 02:32, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh, so you were able to edit it? That's good. TTE will have just put it there to prevent people who've just created accounts from coming in and filling it up with junk. It's nothing to worry about. — THE TROM — 02:37, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Stumped

Upon entering the right side of the square there's a platform with an item ball there. I cannot get to it... Anyone have clues as to why? Of the four huts I can enter, none lead to that one. --Lustre 06:07, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Each hut has three warp points: one straight ahead, one on the right and one on the left. Werdnae 06:24, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh okay thanks, I didn't read that carefully. --Lustre 06:38, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

That big FR/LG-style map - WTF?

What is that big FR/LG style fanmade map doing there? I can't seem to find a way to delete it! --Maxim 08:55, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

It should be deleted on the Archives; the location infobox template had it on set name. A user randomly uploaded that image. Kevzo8 09:15, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Drifloon berry rarity

I have doubts that the rarity of berries are rare at all for Drifloon. I haven't done extensive testing, but berries seem a lot more common than some accessories listed as 'common'. I was finding a purple scale a few weeks ago and here are the results:
belue berry - 3, black beard - 5, cornn berry - 7, durin berry - 1, magost berry - 6, narrow leaf - 1, narrow scale - 4, nomel berry - 10, pamtre berry - 1, purple scale - 1, rabuta berry - 10, red feather - 1, spelon berry - 1, watmel berry - 4, white moustache - 5, yellow feather - 3.

Two berries got a massive 15.8% occurrence rate each, and berries overall occurred 68% of the time. Interestingly though, I seemed to get berries more often the longer I was in there. This might be luck, though, or perhaps the more accessories you have, the less the chance of finding them. -- Pokey 07:35, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

It seems I was mistaking psyduck's list for drifloon's here, but the post still stands for editors with permissions to edit (I can't). Nearly the whole list is missing, and I think it could do with a huge makeover. -- Pokey 07:42, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
I've unprotected the page. Do what you can. —darklordtrom 07:12, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for unprotecting. I'll add the items shortly but won't touch the rarity. My reasons being that I think the items are assigned probability rates when a Pokemon enters the zone. I went to test it again (data set 1), I tested 50 items, then left the zone and reentered with the same drifloon for another 50 (data set 2)
Name Data set 1 Data set 2 1:2
spelon 7 14% 1 2% 7.00
narrow leaf 6 12% 1 2% 6.00
pamtre 4 8% 2 4% 2.00
watmel 2 4% 1 2% 2.00
durin 6 12% 5 10% 1.20
rabuta 3 6% 3 6% 1.00
purple scale 1 2% 1 2% 1.00
magost 10 20% 11 22% 0.90
nomel 6 12% 7 14% 0.86
cornn 5 10% 13 26% 0.38
shed claw 0 0% 3 6% --
narrow scale 0 0% 1 2% --
belue 0 0% 1 2% --

Cornn and spelon berry (and perhaps narrow leaf) seem especially affected, and rabuta berry too if the first data set is included. -- Pokey 05:12, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

According to the posted lists, this isn't supposed to be possible, but, uh, apparently it is.

Shroomish can find a big leaf in pearl?

Shroomish found a big leaf in amity square on my Pearl version, literally 10 minutes ago. That's not on the list, and unfortunately I cannot venture to guess at it's rarity. unless someone wants to crack open the coding of amity square, that's all I've got on that, beyond a screenshot for proof.

Attached screenshot for authenticity sake.
