Advent (Japanese: こうりん Advent) is a mechanic featured in the Pokémon Battrio arcade game introduced in the first expansion of the Battrio 0 upgrade, Arceus Advent, and is a method of dealing additional damage to opponents during gameplay. How Advent is activated depends on the version of Pokémon Battrio.
In Battrio 0
In Battrio 0, Advent acts as a 'finishing move', in that it becomes available to players when the opposing team's HP is low. Players eligible to activate Advent are notified by the appearance of the Advent symbol in the box below the team HP and next to the Fervor Gauge. If a player chooses to activate Advent, two halves of the Advent symbol appear on screen, and the player will be prompted to press the yellow confirm button as the two halves meet. Doing so will summon a Pokémon, or pairing of Pokémon to deal additional damage to the opponent's team. The amount of additional damage depends on the Pokémon summoned, which is random and varies depending on the expansion. As of the last Battrio 0 expansion, the possible Pokémon that could be summoned are listed below.

Single Advent

In Battrio V
In Battrio V, Advent is available to teams of Pokémon that share the same base colors, denoted by the Advent symbol that appears on the end of the player’s Team Gauge. Accumulating enough Berries between battle phases to this point will allow the player to activate Advent. Advent in Battrio V can also be 'levelled up' by collecting more Berries while Advent can be activated. Lv. 1 is the first, dealing on average 100 damage to the opposing team. Lv. 2 deals on average 150 damage, with Lv. Max dealing on average 300 damage.
Up until the release of Sacred Sword Gathering, only Single and Double rarity pucks could be used to utilize Advent due to rarer pucks not having a base color. With the release of this expansion however, scanning in a Triple rarity or above puck alongside two other pucks with the same base colors would result in the rarer puck adopting the same base color.
As in Battrio 0 the Pokémon summoned for Advent is random, though which one in Battrio V depends on the base colors of the team, with each base color having a unique roster of Pokémon that can be summoned. Summoning a Pokémon in Battrio V also starts a short minigame in which the opponent must try and avoid danger zones that will increase the amount of damage dealt to any Pokémon that strays into them. These danger zones are different for each Pokémon that can be summoned.
