It contains many islands, including one on which the Tree of Life is located. It is first visited in the story when the Expedition Society travels to Fire Island Volcano. It can be visited at any time on the Lapras Travel Liner after completing the main story. It is referred to as Beyond the sea if it is visited through Pelipper Island prior to completing the main story.
The two easternmost islands are featured in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness as the Marine Resort and Blizzard Island.
