Unless someone has a compelling argument against it, I'm adding the following paragraph to Trivia: "Impostor Professor Oak was initially going to appear in [[Pokémon Gold and Silver]], as part of an early plot. He can be found as an NPC with his own overworld sprite in an early demo. However, changes to the story during the game's development resulted in his removal."
