===The Nintendo All-Stars Free-For-All! Smash Brothers===
A Pikachu loosely based on the one from [[Super Smash Bros.]] appears in the one-shot manga chapter [[The Nintendo All-Stars Free-For-All! Smash Brothers]].<ref>[https://dogasu.bulbagarden.net/manga/smash_bros/smash_bros_1999.html The Nintendo All-Stars Free-For-All! Smash Brothers - Dogasu's Backpack]</ref> It appears as a doll residing in a realm known as the Toy Kingdom, a land where dolls come to life at a certain time of day. It awakens alongside {{sbw|Mario (SSB)|Mario}}, {{sbw|Kirby (SSB)|Kirby}}, and {{sbw|Donkey Kong (SSB)|Donkey Kong}}. After Kirby {{sbw|Inhale (Kirby)|inhales}} some {{smw|Banana|bananas}} that Mario had intended to give the Kong, however, Donkey Kong flies into a rage and begins to chase Pikachu, mistaking it for another bunch of bananas. Kirby steps in to save Pikachu by painting himself to resemble a [[Poké Ball (item)|Poké Ball]], and after being thrown by Mario, he spits out {{sbw|Yoshi (SSB)|Yoshi}}. While Yoshi is able to stop the fight with his {{sbw|Egg Throw}}, Mario, Donkey Kong and Kirby continue to bicker as Pikachu watches from the sidelines, despite {{sbw|Link (SSB)|Link}}'s efforts to soothe the enraged characters with his {{zw|Ocarina}}.
The next day, Donkey Kong wakes up with a note in his mouth. Mario, Kirby, and Pikachu read the note, which reveals that Yoshi has been kidnapped by a mysterious individual known as Phantom X, and that they must visit {{zw|Hyrule Castle}} if they wish to rescue him. Pikachu suggests that they work together to rescue Yoshi, which the other characters agree to. Inside the castle, Phantom X greets the heroes on a monitor, inviting the heroes to try and find him, but that Yoshi's safety cannot be guaranteed. Suddenly, the front doors close behind them, trapping them inside the castle. Mario uses his {{smw|Fireball|Fireballs}} and Kirby uses his {{wk|Fire}} {{wk|Copy Ability}} to solve a puzzle that requires them to light {{zw|Torch|torches}} in order to open the door ahead. In the next room, a spike trap opens up underneath Donkey Kong, but Kirby saves him by pricking his posterior with his {{wk|Needle}} Copy Ability which causes the ape to leap up in pain to safety.
Afterwards, two of Phantom X's masked henchmen block the path and challenge our protagonists to a battle, which they agree to. Mario commands Pikachu to use {{m|Agility}} to dodge the {{sbw|Blaster (Fox)|lasers}} coming from the enemy's gun, leaving him unable to land a single blow. Kirby attempts to imitate Pikachu's move with his own variation called "Sluggishness", but all this accomplishes is leaving him wide open to enemy fire, which the masked henchman capitalizes off by targeting him with another laser that Donkey Kong blocks with his palm. Kirby commands Pikachu to use {{m|Tackle}} on one of the masked henchmen while he uses his {{wk|Wheel}} Copy Ability on the other, defeating both henchmen and allowing the group to proceed to the final room, where Phantom X awaits.
Mario charges in with a {{sbw|Super Jump Punch}}, which is easily countered by Phantom X's {{sbw|Spin Attack}}, an attack that ends up shaving off Mario's moustache. The group realizes that they must work together in order to defeat the powerful foe. Donkey Kong picks up Mario and Pikachu while standing behind Kirby, and the quartet unleash a combination attack that they dub the "Combination Super-Jump Tornado-Screw Electric-Attack!!", easily defeating their foe. Phantom X reveals to the group that he's Link in disguise, and his two henchmen were {{sbw|Fox (SSB)|Fox McCloud}} and {{sbw|Samus (SSB)|Samus Aran}}. Yoshi steps out of hiding unharmed, and Link reveals that they had staged the kidnapping in order to get the group to work together. As a reward for defeating him, Link offers the heroes a treasure box filled with fruit, which the group happily devours.

Pikachu (Japanese: ピカチュウ Pikachu) is a playable character in the Super Smash Bros. series. Along with Mario, Link, and Kirby, Pikachu is one of the most notable fighters in the game.
Super Smash Bros.
Pikachu is a playable character, and the only Pokémon that is playable from the start of the game. Its main stage is Saffron City.
In the hands of a skilled player, Pikachu is not to be taken lightly. Alongside electrical attacks, it has very good aerial attacks and superb, but hard to master, recovery move. Pikachu is also one of the lightest characters in the game, making it easy for its foes to launch it. Despite this, top-level SSB players have placed Pikachu at the top of their list, theoretically making it the best character in the game.

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Pikachu is a returning playable character and the only Pokémon that is playable from the start of the game. Its main stage is Pokémon Stadium.
While Pikachu's playstyle remained the same, it was powered down in the sequel (like Kirby, Ness, and Yoshi) by having less range in the majority of its attacks, and its recovery travels a shorter distance. It did gain a few buffs, however, as Quick Attack now deals damage, and Thunder Jolt travels underneath stages.

Classic Mode
It's safe to say that Pikachu is the most famous and popular of all Pokémon. It has electric pouches in both cheeks; when in danger, it shoots electricity at its enemies. Although Pikachu can evolve into Raichu by exposure to a Thunderstone, many Trainers like Pikachu so much that they don't let it evolve.
Adventure Mode
While its electrical attacks, such as Thunder and Thunder Jolt, are powerful, Pikachu is at its best speeding around the fray and waiting for its chance to strike. You can control the path of Pikachu's two-directional Quick Attack, allowing you to jump twice. Hold down the B Button to charge up Skull Bash.
All-Star Mode
The angle of the Control Stick controls the direction of Pikachu's Quick Attack. Pikachu will move blindingly fast, and it will also cause damage to any character it runs into. Move the Control Stick during Quick Attack and Pikachu will move in up to two directions. Be sure to check out the ceilings on the level when you use Thunder.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Pikachu is a returning playable character to the franchise. It has been strengthened, and is now at a closer spot to its original placement in the first game; due to faster air speed, ability to chain grab, and a better grab reach. Its Final Smash move is Volt Tackle. It has different designs for hats, including Red's hat from Pokémon Red and Blue.

Subspace Emissary
Pikachu is first seen in the "Research Facility" stage, where its electricity is being used to power a generator. Responding to its shrieks of pain and taking pity on it, Zero Suit Samus saves it by destroying the generator. The two then face a group of R.O.B. Sentries. Pikachu then joins Samus to search for her stolen power suit. The suit is soon recovered and then are soon confronted by Ridley, who grabs Samus and begins dragging her across the walls. Pikachu then returns the favor as it zaps Ridley with a powerful Thunder attack. The two later meet up with Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Captain Falcon, and Olimar to prevent a group of R.O.B. sentries from setting off Subspace Bombs. After failing to defeat Ganondorf and his army, the Ancient Minister becomes R.O.B. and then the gang escapes using Captain Falcon's ship. After defeating Meta Ridley, Pikachu and the gang meet up with the rest of the heroes and infiltrate Subspace, where Pikachu and the others prepare to confront Tabuu.
Trophy information
Pikachu
A Mouse Pokémon. Its lightning-bolt tail and round cheeks are its trademarks. When danger draws near, it uses tiny electric pouches within its cheeks to discharge electricity. When it's really fired up, it unleashes thunderbolts on its rivals. It's said to recharge when it's sleeping. It evolves into Raichu.
Volt Tackle
Pikachu, transformed into a ball of light that can slam into foes. It can also fly to chase down those who try to jump out of range. Sparks get stronger when you press the attack button. However, its increased inertia makes midair movement tough. If you get carried away flying, the effect will end, and you'll destroy yourself. Be careful it doesn't happen to you.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U
Like in Brawl, Pikachu was the amongst the first returning characters announced for the two-part fourth iteration of the series.

Pikachu has three trophies in the game(s), with its Final Smash trophy exclusive to the Wii U version.
Pikachu
NA: Recognized the world over, Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon that stores energy in its cheeks for use in battle. In Smash Bros., Pikachu is a well-rounded fighter with speedy, powerful electric attacks. Quick Attack can be used twice in a row if two directions are input, one after another.
PAL: Pikachu is famous worldwide as the face of the Pokémon series. There's a lot of electricity stored in those rosy cheeks, and in this game, that allows for some devastating attacks, like Thunder Jolt. Tip: Input another direction after using Quick Attack to get a second burst. It's top-notch for recoveries!
Pikachu (Alt.)
NA: Pikachu's Thunder Jolt fires off a ball of electricity that bounces across the stage, getting weaker as it travels. It does more damage to enemies in the air. The default down special, Thunder, causes a lightning strike that both shocks opponents and turns Pikachu invincible for a split second.
PAL: Pikachu's Thunder Jolt fires off a ball of electricity that bounces across the stage, getting weaker as it travels. Airborne enemies will take extra damage from it and get launched further. The default down special, Thunder, causes a lightning strike that both shocks opponents and turns Pikachu invincible for a split second.
Volt Tackle
NA: Pikachu's Final Smash turns its whole body into a powerful ball of electricity that darts around at high speed, tackling opponents. While Pikachu is charging around, press the attack button to unleash powerful sparks. There's also a little ball of light that flies ahead of Pikachu itself. Use that as a guide if Pikachu seems out of control!

As one of the original eight fighters of the first Super Smash Bros., Pikachu is one of the few characters in the game unlocked from the start in all modes except Adventure Mode: World of Light. In Ultimate, Pikachu has access to palette swaps that depict it as female, including one that dresses it as Pikachu Libre and another that gives it Selene's Casual Cap. Its Final Smash, Volt Tackle, has also been adjusted to be automatic, making it easier to hit enemies.

- Mei Ling: That's Pikachu. It's a Pokémon. They're popular all over the world, you know. And it may look cute, but be careful. It can store large amounts of electricity in those adorable little cheeks. It'll try to pepper you with electric shocks.
- Solid Snake: Couldn't be much worse than Ocelot's old torture device...
- Mei Ling: Oh, and, Snake?
- Solid Snake: What?
- Mei Ling: I was wondering, could you maybe try and catch Pikachu for me? Pleeeeease?
- Solid Snake: Give me a break! What do I look like, a Pokémon Trainer?
- Mei Ling: Fine... Sorry I asked.
Palutena's Guidance
- Viridi: Aww, look at that cute little guy.
- Pit: It's a Pokémon!
- Palutena: And not just any Pokémon!
- Viridi: Actually, that Pokémon is called a Pikachu. Pikachu evolves from Pichu. And when a Pikachu is fully evolved, it becomes a Raichu.
- Palutena: It's quite rare for a Pokémon to be more famous in its middle stage than its final evolution.
- Viridi: True, but Pikachu is a special case. I mean, it's the most famous of all the Pokémon.
- Pit: Uh, excuse me! Hello?
- Palutena: What is it, Pit?
- Pit: I'd hate to interrupt your musing on Pokémon, but I could really use some Smash Bros. help right about now!
- Palutena: Oh, right. I forgot where we were. OK, here's a tip: dodge Pikachu's Thunder, then counterattack.
- Viridi: You can also zap Pikachu by reflecting its Thunder back at itself! And nothing is more satisfying than that!

The Nintendo All-Stars Free-For-All! Smash Brothers
A Pikachu loosely based on the one from Super Smash Bros. appears in the one-shot manga chapter The Nintendo All-Stars Free-For-All! Smash Brothers.[1] It appears as a doll residing in a realm known as the Toy Kingdom, a land where dolls come to life at a certain time of day. It awakens alongside Mario, Kirby, and Donkey Kong. After Kirby inhales some bananas that Mario had intended to give the Kong, however, Donkey Kong flies into a rage and begins to chase Pikachu, mistaking it for another bunch of bananas. Kirby steps in to save Pikachu by painting himself to resemble a Poké Ball, and after being thrown by Mario, he spits out Yoshi. While Yoshi is able to stop the fight with his Egg Throw, Mario, Donkey Kong and Kirby continue to bicker as Pikachu watches from the sidelines, despite Link's efforts to soothe the enraged characters with his Ocarina.
The next day, Donkey Kong wakes up with a note in his mouth. Mario, Kirby, and Pikachu read the note, which reveals that Yoshi has been kidnapped by a mysterious individual known as Phantom X, and that they must visit Hyrule Castle if they wish to rescue him. Mario uses his Fireballs and Kirby uses his Fire Copy Ability to solve a puzzle that requires them to light torches in order to open the door ahead. In the next room, a spike trap opens up underneath Donkey Kong, but Kirby saves him by pricking his posterior with his Needle Copy Ability which causes the ape to leap up in pain to safety.
Afterwards, two of Phantom X's masked henchmen block the path and challenge our protagonists to a battle, which they agree to. Mario commands Pikachu to use Agility to dodge the lasers coming from the enemy's gun, leaving him unable to land a single blow. Kirby attempts to imitate Pikachu's move with his own variation called "Sluggishness", but all this accomplishes is leaving him wide open to enemy fire, which the masked henchman capitalizes off by targeting him with another laser that Donkey Kong blocks with his palm. Kirby commands Pikachu to use Tackle on one of the masked henchmen while he uses his Wheel Copy Ability on the other, defeating both henchmen and allowing the group to proceed to the final room, where Phantom X awaits.
Mario charges in with a Super Jump Punch, which is easily countered by Phantom X's Spin Attack, an attack that ends up shaving off Mario's moustache. Phantom X reveals to the group that he's Link in disguise, and his two henchmen were Fox McCloud and Samus Aran. Yoshi steps out of hiding unharmed, and Link reveals that they had staged the kidnapping in order to get the group to work together. As a reward for defeating him, Link offers the heroes a treasure box filled with fruit, which the group happily devours.

A † shows that the move was used recently, unless all moves fit this case or there are fewer than five known moves. |
- Pikachu is implied to also know an unnamed Electric-type move that it uses for its combination attack. Judging by the name of the combination attack, this move could possibly be Electric Screw, a move that does not exist in the Pokémon games but serves as Pikachu's down aerial move in the Super Smash Bros. series.
