It seems that I can't quite put my finger on where Pokémon the Movie 2000 takes place in the anime timeline. I heard some people say it takes place after Charizard Chills, as Charizard obeys Ash in the film, but the timeline says it takes place before Charizard Chills. And many people seem to agree when I looked on the discussion page for the movie. Think you can clarify for me when Pokémon the Movie 2000 takes place? I ask because I'm trying to watch the anime as according to the timeline. Much thanks. --Baldwin17 (talk) 23:12, 2 February 2021 (UTC) | It seems that I can't quite put my finger on where Pokémon the Movie 2000 takes place in the anime timeline. :: No. That is not how the List of game shippings page works. Unlike in the case of creating a specific page for one ship, ships don't require evidence in order to be included. Just take a look at the section for NewReplacementShipping. I'm not sure why this one ship is being singled out when many of them on list also don't have evidence. And even then, that was no reason to remove it. It's a popular ship, as I've mentioned before. It deserves to be on the page. A while ago on this wiki I saw on the timeline that the short film Pikachu and Pichu comes after Pokémon 3, but now I look on the timeline and it says it took place before the film. If you compare the character from JN002 to the one from JN049, the characters don't just resemble each other, they're identical. Moreover, she uses a Jolteon, just like the one at the lab, and the voice actor is also the same, I believe. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:06, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

What's the difference between putting Ash's name between [[s compared to putting it between {{s?
I saw you make this change in one of the pages I watched, and since I'm still relatively new here, I was wondering if there was a particular benefit for it? Since both link to the same page. Andre1070 (talk) 15:59, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Allow me to direct you to the site's list of link templates for further information. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:04, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- I actually found that one after I sent you that message. It is indeed very useful, but I'm still having trouble understanding the Ash one in particular. The templates are supposed to make the links shorter and easier to write, right? So what's the advantage of writing Ash in as opposed to ? It seems like it might have something to do with characters that have surnames given the other examples on the list, but even then, using for those works too. Andre1070 (talk) 11:38, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- Pardon me, but I think the reason is so that the top of Ash's page doesn't have a "(Redirected from Ash)" just below the title, where the one links it as "Ash Ketchum" rather than just "Ash" as the one does.Animaltamer7 (talk) 12:35, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- Oh, that makes sense! I didn't notice that, thank you. Andre1070 (talk) 12:52, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- That's in the list of link templates that I sent you... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:10, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- But it doesn't mention the part about the template removing the (redirected from Ash) note on the top of the page, only that templates exist to shorten the length of links. That's why I thought there was no functional difference between the two, since they are the same length. I think it could be potentially useful to add a note about that utility on the page. Andre1070 (talk) 18:41, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- ...Also, I don't really appreciate your tone, I have to say. That reply made it sound like you thought I was ignorant and had overlooked something in the template page, when the relevant information is not to be found there. And not to mention another user had already explained the reason to me, so there was no reason for you to pipe in with that. I couldn't help but feel a little attacked. Trust me when I say I checked the template page as hard as I could to try and figure out the reason. Andre1070 (talk) 19:35, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate your advice. Andre1070 (talk) 19:38, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- You have to read the article's lede. It explains why it's required. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:09, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- Again, I did read it. I already told you I checked the template article as hard as I could. I read everything. It did not explain what I actually wanted to know. Consistency is one thing, but the actual usefulness of that particular template was only explained to me by AnimalTamer7. It is not mentioned in the article proper. See my earlier "But it doesn't mention the part about the template removing the (redirected from Ash) note on the top of the page, only that templates exist to shorten the length of links." comment. I'm well aware of the purpose of templates in general. And to be clear, of course I'm always going to abide by the rules of editing consistency of the wiki, It's just that I wanted to know more clearly why it was required. Do you understand what I mean? I wasn't asking "why I should use templates", I was asking "what is the advantage to using THIS template". I hope this clears up any confusion. Don't worry, all my questions have been cleared up on this matter, and I apologize if I came off as combative or frustrating in any way, as it's been a very rough couple of days for me. Andre1070 (talk) 15:05, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- But also, I'm really not in a state where I can prolong a conversation over the course of multiple days like this, so I have to ask you to not reply to these messages anymore. It's not anything against you, but I just feel like keeping to myself right now. Talking on Bulbapedia is difficult. My questions have been adequately answered, so let's end it here, alright? I'll remove it from my watchlist, also. Andre1070 (talk) 15:42, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- This is something you're going to have to ask an admin, then. I recommend Force Fire. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:43, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- I mean, I guess I could do that if I wanted to be absolutely sure that what AnimalTamer7 said about it was true. Maybe I'll do that. And it's nice of you to recommend an admin to me, since I'm a new user and don't know which ones I can rely on yet. But I would like to ask you to try to pay closer attention to people's messages in the future, because I feel like there was a lot of unnecessary miscommunication during this discussion that could've been avoided.
