Electromorphosis (Japanese: でんきにかえる Change into Electricity) is an Ability introduced in Generation IX. It is the signature Ability of Bellibolt.
Effect
In battle
When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a move, it becomes charged, boosting the power of the next Electric-type move it uses.
If hit by a multistrike move, each hit triggers the Ability, but the charges do not stack.
When this Ability is triggered, the message "Being hit by <move> charged <name> with power!" is displayed, even if it causes the Pokémon with Electromorphosis to faint. If the opposing move causes the Pokémon to faint, Electromorphosis displays the message before the Pokémon faints.
Outside of battle
Electromorphosis has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia
- This Ability's Japanese name comprises a pun: かえる kaeru can be taken as a verb, 変える (to change); or as a noun, 蛙 (frog). This may explain the fact that it is signature to the EleFrog Pokémon, Bellibolt. Its English name derives from a combination of electro- and metamorphosis.
- In HZ055, Jacq describes Electromorphosis as the way Bellibolt is able to generate and store electricity after its abs shake from an impact.
