UPC suggests that in Gen III only, Spite will always fail if the affected move only has 1 PP left. Is that true? I suspect that in all generations, Spite would fail if the target has recently hurt itself due to confusion. This means I'd have to test this in the actual games. --<font color="turquoise">C.Ezra.M</font><font color="lime">something to say?</font> · <font color="orange">My work documentation</font> 09:45, 3 October 2021 (UTC) | |||

Now, I'm not sure if my input counts since I'm using an emulator/roms (not hacked), but I tried this setup in Pokémon Platinum, and it does indeed fail if the target has recently hurt itself in its confusion. I have footage of this happening if it is needed. Apologies in advance if I made any mistakes in doing this, I am new to this website/formatting. Contradictory info
The information about the Spite attack is contradictory.
In this article in the short description it says Spite cuts 4 PP whereas in the detailed description it is "a random number between 1 and 5". On the page about Ghost-type Spite is said to cut "up to 4 PP". In the LeafGreen game it is said that Spite cuts 2 to 5 PP.
Shouldn't we correct this information? --Pokeresp 21:57, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Spite
The pictures that are used in the moves, must be the User who took the picture, or It can be from the internet? Because I found a picture of Spite in X and Y.

UPC suggests that in Gen III only, Spite will always fail if the affected move only has 1 PP left. Is that true? Spite failing against confusion damage
I suspect that in all generations, Spite would fail if the target has recently hurt itself due to confusion. I only checked this in one game, Pokémon Inclement Emerald (a ROM hack based on Emerald, a Gen III game). This means I'd have to test this in the actual games. --C.Ezra.Msomething to say? · My work documentation 09:45, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
Spite failing against confusion damage (tested)
