== Mimic and False Swipe == | |||
I had this strange experience this morning: I was battling a wild {{p|Jigglypuff}} with my (hacked) {{p|Froslass}} on my White Version. Froslass used {{m|False Swipe}} on Jigglypuff, which, of course, it survived. Jigglypuff then used Mimic, which became False Swipe naturally. But then, completely nothing happened, not even an 'It had no effect'-message! It just went from 'The wild Jigglypuff used False Swipe' to 'What will Froslass do?' with nothing in between. No messages, no HP-depletion, nothing. So, this gives me the following questions: is this a glitch? If yes, is this notable? If yes, where should we put it? Ok. The list of pokemon that can be taught Mimic via Tutor in FRLG is EXTREMELY long. Who CAN'T learn it? Me and my fellow torchics agree on this - Sk8torchic 20:03, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Koffing & Weezing
The first topic is kind of about the same, but it's 2 years old so let's have a new one.
In the tutor list Koffing and Weezing are missing and they should be there, as said here, here and on veekun too. This also applies for swagger and endure (maybe entries were adapted from double-Edge ones, that Koffing and Weezing cannot learn?).
Getting back to the first topic, the list is far too long, on PCentral Wiki we solved this way, basically adapting the AllTM text to fit with every learning method.
As you should have got, I'm a PCW user and English is not my native language, so forgive me any error, please!--Maze (Talk page) 22:52, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Mimic and False Swipe
I had this strange experience this morning: I was battling a wild Jigglypuff with my (hacked) Froslass on my White Version. Froslass used False Swipe on Jigglypuff, which, of course, it survived. - Mimic uses a turn to "borrow" a move from an opponent for the duration of a battle. It copies the move, but does not use it like Me First or Mirror Move does. On the turn that the Jigglypuff used Mimic, it should have copied False Swipe, and then it should have been your turn, just like you said. --Darth Zekrom 17:58, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Confusing statement
This applies to the Generation I section only. The section states, if the opponent last used a move that the attacking Pokémon already knows, Mimic will fail. However, the top of the section says only that Mimic copies one of the target's moves in general, and not just the last one it used. Which is correct as of Gen I? Does Mimic copy a random move or the last-used move? Thanks yeyjordan 03:30, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
