This card was first distributed at the {{wp|Nintendo World Store}} [[Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness]] launch event in New York on October 2, 2005. It was given to anyone who played the demo of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness at the event, between 2pm and 6pm. It was then distributed as part of the Pokémon 10th Anniversary celebration at Space Center Houston on March 25, 2006, followed by a rather limited release to attendants of the Nintendo pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) press conference on May 9, 2006. It was later awarded as a prize to the five finalists of the Pikachu freeze-dance contest at the Nintendo World Store {{game|Platinum}} launch event on March 21, 2009.

This card was first distributed at the Nintendo World Store Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness launch event in New York on October 2, 2005.
