This card was released as part of the "Pokémon Sunday" campaign at Pokémon Centers in Japan in January 2009. Customers that purchased a certain amount of goods and could answer a secret password question were given this card.
This card was available as part of the [[Pokémon Sunday]] "Lucario's Card" Trade Campaign at participating Pokémon Centers and stores across Japan from January 17, 2009. In some stores, people were required to trade a Fighting-type card for this card while giving the password "Roger!", while other stores simply gave away the card with any TCG purchase. The promotion ran for as long as stocks lasted. The Pokémon Sunday logo is featured in the bottom right corner of the illustration.
