The '''P Promotional cards''' are the first series of Japanese promotional cards to have a numbering system. These cards were the first to use the black star "PROMO" symbol featured on English promotional cards. These cards have a ''P'' suffix instead of an overall collection number. This has now become a standard with all numbered Japanese promotional sets, the suffix often changing with a new series in the [[Pokémon Trading Card Game]]. | |||

The P Promotional cards are the first series of Japanese promotional cards to have a numbering system. These cards were the first to use the black star "PROMO" symbol featured on English promotional cards. These cards have a P suffix instead of an overall collection number. This has now become a standard with all numbered Japanese promotional sets, the suffix often changing with a new series in the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
