Is it really 9.8% chance of flinching instead of straight-up 10%? I thought that was just for Gen I, since the whole accuracy/chance of doing a status was set to 255/256... --TTEchidna 16:34, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Bite

Can somebody confirm that King's Rock has no effect on Bite? Judging from my experiences, it would seem that it does have an effect on it, but I suppose it might just be luck. --Thembi 00:53, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Why wouldn't it? TTEchidna 01:07, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
According to this page, it doesn't.--Thembi 11:16, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Additional chance of inflicting flinch with King's Rock

This article states there's a 30% increase in the chance of causing flinching if the user of a move is holding King's Rock or Razor Fang. (Well, an increase of 30% of the chance of not causing flinching...) Evolution-inducing held item#King's Rock says the chance is 11.7%. Which one is right? Looce 07:06, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Gen V update?

Does this page need to be updated? Cause there aren't any eneration V moves on here - unsigned comment from Timmymacky (talkcontribs)

Is there is a p + (1 - p) * 0.1 chance of causing flinching?

Does anyone have the source of this info? --V4Victini (talk) 19:28, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

Well my testing has proved this is false. King's Rock doesn't affect any flinching moves with the exception of Secret Power. --V4Victini (talk) 13:35, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Well, it is universally accepted to be correct. Looking into it, Spading#Flinchax talks a bit about items increasing the chance of flinching. From what I can see the formula is the flinching caused by the move, as long as it isn't zero, combined with the chance of flinching with the King's Rock. I think that the Smogon was the original source for this information. Hope that helps. --Super goku (talk) 19:18, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
If that is the case then I spoke to them already and had it fixed over there first. --V4Victini (talk) 23:44, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
