:It merely lowers the encounter rate, as opposed to eliminating wild encounters altogether like a Repel would. Cleanse Tag doesn't do what it should
"Prevents Pokémon with a lower level than the holder from appearing if the holder is first member in the player's party." That's the listed effect. However, being in an article about Repel, it doesn't repel Pokémon as it should! I'm sick of walking through grass with my Level 68 Typlosion and get attacked by lower levels while it is holding the Cleanse Tag.
