i dont believe it says anywhere in the corocoro scans that Professor Araragi is the one who gives the player thier pokémon, we are just relying on what we know from previous generations and making assumptions.  The latest trailer on the B&W website shows the starter pokéballs inside a decorative box, what looks like a gift, possibly from Araragi but most likely form the protagonist's family. just putting it out there...

:I agree, we shouldn't make too many speculative assumptions. Chiramii

She's shown with a Chiramii. Yeah and? Oak introduced you to Kanto with a Nidoran, Johto with a Marill... it's just the Pokémon they chose to put in the opening. TTEchidna 22:39, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
