Like several other Pokémon VS-styled cards, this card could technically have been an evolution card, as cards of Misty's Poliwag and Misty's Poliwhirl were released previously.

- Gym Leader Misty owns a Politoed that knows Water Gun and Body Slam in the Pokémon anime.
