Compoundeyes (Japanese: ふくがん Compound Eyes) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Seven Pokémon can have this Ability, all of which are Template:Type2.
Effect
In battle
Compoundeyes raises accuracy by 30% of a move's original accuracy in battles. This means that Thunder, for example, has 91% accuracy as opposed to the usual 70% (70 x 1,3 = 91%). A move with a theoretical accuracy of 77% or higher will have its accuracy set to 100% (77% x 1,3 = 100,1%).
Outside of battle
In Pokémon Emerald and all subsequent games excluding Black and White, if the Pokémon with the Ability leads the party, even if it has fainted, the chance of finding a Pokémon in the wild holding an item increases by 50%.
In Black and White, if the Pokémon with the Ability leads the party, even if it has fainted, the chance of finding a Pokémon in the wild holding an item increases from 50%/5%/1% to 60%/20%/5%. This makes rarer items easier to find.
