Tomoko Kawakami (Japanese: 川上とも子 Kawakami Tomoko, real name in kanji 川上倫子, born April 25, 1971 - June 9th 2011) was a Japanese seiyū for the Pokémon anime.

On August 19th, 2008, she underwent surgery after admitting herself to a hospital with an unknown illness. As a result she was given an 20 month sick leave. Satsuki Yukino served as her understudy during that time. She died from ovarian cancer in June of 2011[1]
