(Japanese: マサエ Masae) is one of the characters of the day in Journey to the Starting Line. Her dub name was not revealed so this article will refer to her by her Japanese name.
Masae is an elderly woman who is a resident of Pallet Town. She told Professor Oak that the Pokémon Monthly magazine was out. But he wasn't interested at the moment because a Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle escaped from his laboratory. He asked her not to tell anyone but she announced over a radio that there was a reward offered for their return.
