I think because in generations IV and V, the beam shoots out of the sun. possible to summon the sun's power to attack.Ppowersteef (talk) 12:34, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Location

Does anyone have any idea where to get the Solarbeam TM in Emerald? JmathTalk 21:40, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Check here. Zurqoxn 04:43, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Coloring

Has anyone noticed that SolarBeam has three colorings? In the first movie when Bulbasaur uses it, its a blue color, in the anime, its pure white and in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew when Tropius uses it, its white, but with a green outline. Should this be noted in the Trivia? --PsychicRider 19:42, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Groudon

Groudon did use SolarBeam in its appearance, right? Should I put it there? Palkia38 10:21, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Direction

Why does SolarBeam shoot from the user in Generations I-III but in Generations IV and V it comes from the sky?SONICバリヤ 04:01, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

solarbeam

when the server is low, this trivia should be added. IT is a tm in ALL generations and is always the same number, 22.

It's not the only TM that's been in all generations and had the same number. Blizzard, Fire Blast, and Thunder all do, too. It's not that notable. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 16:11, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Sleep

I accidentally caused this in Sapphire, but it seems that sleep cancels SolarBeam altogether in Generation III, not pause it like it did in Generation I. What happens in Generation II? --SnorlaxMonster 11:27, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Cancels. Marked +-+-+ 15:23, 13 September 2011 (UTC). Wait. The video is screwed. ._. Paralysis, confusion and sleep cancel SolarBeam, though.

PP Deduction

I noticed something while I was playing FireRed -- I tried using SolarBeam while my Tangela was paralyzed, and it ended up with the "it's fully paralyzed" message before it even started charging SolarBeam. Thing is, it was still using up PP for it, even though it never got a chance to execute the move. Admittedly, this was on an emulator, so I guess it could be a problem with the coding, but has anyone else ever noticed the same thing happening? ---Spudwalt 04:31, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Error in Gallery

I was looking at the "In other generations" section when I noticed that the picture of SolarBeam being used in Generation 1 doesn't show anything at all related to SolarBeam, basically just a Venusaur and a Graveler staring at each other. (Charizard101 01:15, 1 May 2012 (UTC))

Is the image animated on your computer?--ForceFire 02:50, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
Fixed. Werdnae (talk) 03:57, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
For some reason it still looks the same on my computer. (Charizard101 17:25, 1 May 2012 (UTC))
It's a sync issue. The image has been fixed on the archives, but it takes time for it to update the Bulbapedia image. Give it a day or two and it'll change itself. Werdnae (talk) 22:51, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Weather conditions

Do the weather conditions which determine half power or not, are they taken during second turn (when the move is used), or during first turn? Meaning, if a pokemon uses SolarBeam first turn when the weather is fine, but before its second turn the weather changes to Hail, is it half power or full power? -Jyavoc 22:49, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Power is affected upon use (so the second turn). --SnorlaxMonster 15:37, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Why did you remove my picture?

Mine was better!!! you can barely see Pansage in the one here!!! - unsigned comment from Grabbergirl (talkcontribs)

Kamehameha?

May I add Kamehameha? Many fans compare this move to the Dragonballz Kamehameha. - unsigned comment from Grabbergirl (talkcontribs)
