Kenzo (Japanese: ゲンゾウ Genzō) is a character of the day in the Pokémon anime who appeared in Two Hits and a Miss.
Kenzo used to be the shihan of his own dojo. The years were catching up to him, however, and he needed to pass on the duty to someone else. A likely candidate was his granddaughter Chigusa. He didn't want her to be shihan, though, because she was more concerned with her own Pokémon's moves "looking pretty" rather than concentrating on battling, and wanted Ash, whom he just recently met in a forest, to be his heir. Later on, Chigusa eventually proved herself to be worthy and she then became shihan of the dojo.
