A Pokémon Swap Meet (Japanese: ポケモンこうかんかい Pokémon Swap Meet) is a type of gathering festival for Pokémon Trainers to meet and trade Pokémon. Trainers will prepare for the Swap Meets by preparing Pokémon they no longer want, and grooming them to be attractive, in hopes for trading them for one they would like. It was featured in the anime episode Tricks of the Trade, where it was being held in Palmpona.
There are also battle competitions to show off the skills of one's Pokémon to interest others in trading for them.
