==History of the Modified Format==
You're listing "Base Set on" as the first Modified format. That's not correct. The term "Modified" was first applied to the TR-on format. No format prior to TR-on can be properly called a Modified format since they weren't called such, hence why TR-on is considered to be the first Modified format and the transition to Neo-on is considered to be the first Rotation.
Of course, TR-on was the one that picked on first {{TCG ID|Neo Genesis|Sneasel|25}} and then {{TCG ID|Neo Genesis|Slowking|14}}, the only two cards to ever be specifically banned from the Modified format before their sets rotated out, and two out of only four cards to ever be banned from competitive play (Ancient Mew and the infamous Happy Birthday Pikachu are banned from both Unlimited and Modified). --[[User:Shiningpikablu252|Shiningpikablu252]] 16:14, 19 October 2007 (UTC) |
