This article is about a character featured in the Pokémon anime who has not yet debuted in the English language dub. As such, their information may contain romanized Japanese names, rather than dub names. |
(Japanese: ニコラ Nikola) is one of the characters of the day who appeared in XY020. He is a Trainer who frequently visits the Battle Chateau to battle and increase his rank. He is the older brother of Tesla. Together they have a tendency of rapping their sentences.
While resting at a Pokémon Center with his brother Tesla, Nikola heard a conversation of Ash and his friends about the Battle Chateau. Because they were on their way to the Battle Chateau, Nikola and Tesla decided to approach them and tell them more about the place. Ash then decided he wanted them to take him there to see it for himself.
While Nikola had already battled frequently at the Battle Chateau and had won himself the rank of Baron, his brother Tesla was new to the place and so Nikola wanted to introduce him too. Inside the Battle Chateau, the group was welcomed by Molly and Ikkon. Since Nikola is a frequent visitor of the Battle Chateau, he was officially introduced by Ikkon in the salon, where Trainers meet up. He was quickly approached by Farrell, another Trainer with the rank of Baron, who accepted his battle request.
For the battle, Nikola chose to battle with Fletchinder, while Farrell chose to battle with Dusknoir. Dusknoir took the initiative with Thunder Punch, while Nikola chose to let Fletchinder counter with Flame Charge. Dusknoir managed to land the hit and Fletchinder was temporally stunned. But it quickly redeemed itself and struck back with another powerful Flame Charge, this time defeating Dusknoir. As this was Nikola's tenth win at the Battle Chateau, his rank was elevated to Viscount.
Afterwards, he watched the battle between his brother Tesla and Ash. Although Tesla lost, Nikola assured they would train together again and that Tesla would win eventually. He then watched the battle between Viola and Grant. After that battle, everyone prepared to leave, as Nikola and Tesla said their farewells to Ash and his friends and they promised to meet up again sometime.

Although Fletchinder was temporally stunned, it quickly redeemed itself and struck back with another powerful Flame Charge which defeated Dusknoir this time.
