Wait is a pseudo-Special Condition in the Pokémon Trading Figure Game and Pokémon Duel. It was introduced to the TFG in the Next Quest expansion.
Pokémon with Wait cannot MP move, attack opponents, tag allies, or activate Abilities. However, they can still be targeted by Plates.
In the TFG, Wait always lasts one turn. In Pokémon Duel, Wait can last any number of turns; for instance, Wait 9 lasts nine turns (five of one player's turns and four of the other's). Wait is similar in function to flinching in the core series Pokémon games.
Despite being similar to a Special Condition or an attached marker, it is not one. As a result, it does not replace other Special Conditions or markers. Additionally, Pokémon can have Wait on the bench or in the P.C., whereas Special Conditions and markers are removed when a Pokémon moves to the bench or P.C.
