Team Attacks are a mechanic introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. Team Attacks are large-scale attacks used by every member of the team in a dungeon. A Team Attack deals damage nearby enemies. In addition to dealing damage, an added effect will occur based on the type of the team leader.

Preparing and using a Team Attack

As the party moves through the dungeon, progress towards a Team Attack is built. When the attack is ready to be used, a flashing emblem will appear in the upper left hand corner of the top screen, between the floor number and the player's name. A Team Attack is used by holding the L button on the 3DS, and pressing the larger version of the emblem that appears on the bottom screen. After a Team Attack is used, the team will need to continue through the dungeon before being able to use another. The time it takes to build up a Team Attack is reduced if any member of the party is holding a Coalition Scarf.

Effects of a Team Attack

A Team Attack, when used, deals a large amount of damage to all enemies in the room. After the damage is dealt, a secondary effect depending on the type of the team leader will happen. If the leader has two types, one of two effects will happen.
