The Berry Blender is a device found in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It blends berries to make Pokéblocks, a treat that raises a Pokémon's condition for contests. To use it, you must have a Pokéblock Case to store Pokéblocks and a person to blend with. The faster the berries are blended, the lower the "feel", or texture will be of the berry. Level depends on how much the Pokéblock will raise a condition. The ideal Pokéblock has a lower feel and a high level. The color of the Pokéblock produced indicates what condition it will raise. Different kinds of Pokéblocks can be made, depending on which type of berry is put in. By experimenting with different berries you can make a variety of Pokéblocks. All berry blenders are found in Contest Halls.
There are two berry blenders in all four contest halls. One of them allows you to blend berries with your friends using a link cable. The other will have one or more NPCs standing around it. They will blend berries with you. The berries they use are randomly chosen.
Blending
To make Pokéblocks, simply select a berry and put it in the blender. To properly blend berries, you must press the A button when the arrow attached to the disk in the center of the machine points to your station arrow.
- - A red target-like circle is the equivalent of 'Perfect', and gives a large speed boost.
- - A red circle is the equivalent of 'Good' and gives a smaller speed boost.
- - A blue X is the equivalent of 'Miss', and results in the slowing of the blender.
