Release information
This card was included in the English Fossil expansion, first released in the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils expansion. A special W Wizards stamped version was included in the December 1999 issue of Top Deck Magazine. It was later reprinted in the English Legendary Collection expansion.
Trivia
Along with Shedinja, this card has the fewest HP of any Stage 1 Pokémon in the TCG.
Origin
Kabuto Armor's Japanese name is that of Battle Armor, an Ability later introduced in the Generation III Pokémon games that Kabuto can have. Scratch is a move in the Pokémon games that Kabuto can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
