Hey, I just added a summary for X and Y, as I found a video online how to, and then just read this, could you reedit it to fit more what you mean? |
Revision as of 21:44, 11 March 2017
Two things
- If you archive a user talk page, please add a link to the archived page somewhere at the top of the page, so other users could access it easier.
- I noticed you did four edits to a subpage of your userspace. Instead, be sure to preview your edits so you can catch errors. That way, you can reduce the amount of consecutive edits.
Thanks! Berrenta (talk) 21:03, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
- 1. Okay, will do. How would I get to an archive?
- 2. I did use preview. The first three edits I didn't want to do all at once, and the fourth was adding something I didn't know about when I was editing (the candidates for mainspace thing). I do try to use the preview feature. ----Celadonkey 21:49, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
Welcomes
FYI, we usually don't welcome users who haven't made any contributions. There are many accounts created on BP that never make any edits.
(Also, you need to add a link to the old talk page you archived at the top of this page, like Berrenta said above.)
Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:16, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for telling me. But like I asked Berrenta, how would I get to the archive? I don't remember the link I put it at. --Celadonkey 21:18, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
- Your archive is User talk:Celadonkey/Archive. I know, it's sometimes hard to find things once you've moved them :) For future reference, if you start typing in the search bar, it'll give you a drop down with suggestions, that's how I found your archive--just started typing "User talk:Celadonkey" and it popped up :) slimey01 00:53, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
- You could also see it right in this page's history. Or you could even check your own contributions (up near the "log out" link). Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:15, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

Trivia edits
Hey so uh idk how else to talk to you so I hope this is ok?? Anyway regarding Trivia, actually yeah I read the page you posted (Trivia Policy) and as I've been looking at the highest stats( for each type) the other day, I noticed there are more than 2 way ties sometimes, so I edited those out. However I wanted to ask (I assume you're not a Trivia mod or anything but still) - when it comes to the Shuckle/Mega Steelix/Mega Aggron tie with Defense, it's the highest Defense of all Pokemon, is that notable enough or not? I'd leave it on Shuckle's page, because it mentions its extreme stat distribution, but idk about the other two... thanks for help. KingisNitro (talk) 20:30, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not a mod at all, lol. I don't even think I've been a member for a year! (although I have been using Bulbapedia since at least 2008 for info) the trivia policy page isn't mine, it's forcefire's.
- Honestly having something on Shuckle's page seems fine as long as you mention "non-mega evolved". --Celadonkey 20:32, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Just poking my head in here, staff members such as Tiddlywinks regularly remove highest-stat-trivia that mention "non-Mega Evolved" because making exceptions/clarifications like that make it unnotable. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 20:51, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Huh, didn't know that. I thought it did the opposite. Thanks. --Celadonkey 21:01, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the comment, I mean with Shuckle I think it should stay because it's out of all Pokemon+Shuckle's Trivia talks about extremity of its stat distribution, but guess it should be edited out of Steelix and Aggron articles. I'm going ahead and deleting them until someone comes along and decides something else.
- (Also, regarding non-Megas; Arceus's Defense still stays lmao...) KingisNitro (talk) 21:07, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Hey Celadonkey
I dont understand much of how to reply and stuff, so here is my reply, putting this on your page
Just a reply to your answer, I dont see any way to add a language on the side, just the ones that are there. Please help? - unsigned comment from Adrizz (talk • contribs)
- Well, first of all, some talk page etiquette: Always sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~). Pressing enter five times in order to make a space between lines takes up a lot of room; one space between lines will do.
- Second of all, Bulbapedia is an English wiki. It is affiliated with, but not operated by the same people as Pokemon wikis in other languages, such as PokeWiki in German, Pokepedia in French, or 52Poke in Chinese. If you want to edit in a different languages, I'd go to those wikis. If you want to add a link on a Bulbapedia article to a corresponding article in, say, French, what you'd do is put [[fr:(the name of the French article here)]] at the bottom of the Bulbapedia article.
- I hope I answered your question. --Celadonkey 20:24, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
- But what I mean is a totally new language, which isnt there a.k.a Norwegian, my native tounge.
- Sooo what can I do? - unsigned comment from Adrizz (talk • contribs)
- First of all, good job with the spacing, but remember to put four tildes (~~~~) after you've finished your comment. This makes a signature. Also, make sure to add colons before your comments. I added some for you, you can look in the code to see what I mean. You should add one more colon than the person before you did.

- To make a new wiki in a completely new language is outside of Bulbapedia's powers. As I said, Bulbapedia is "affiliated with, but not operated by the same people as Pokemon wikis in other languages". This means the people who operate Bulbapedia do not also operate foreign Pokemon wikis. To make a new wiki, you'd have to set up your own server, and set everything up there, and then contact Bulbapedia to see if you can affiliate with the owners. --Celadonkey 20:31, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
Removing the one at Mega Evolving
Yes, I talked specific about Sun and Moon, as its the only game I know how to obtain these things, and others could've added the X and Y version and fixed that, instead, you removed the whole thing, please.
I even copied the whole thing
In Pokémon Sun and Moon you can obtain a Key Stone and a Alakazite by going to Vast Poni Canyon and then walking on the path to the Battle Tree There you will be greeted by Dexio and Sina.Dexio tells you about the mega stone, and challenges you to a battle. He will have these pokemon,at level 61, an Espeon, an Alolan Raichu, a Slowking, an Metagross and an Alakazam holding an Alakazite, and Dexio mega evolves Alakazam into an Mega Alakazam, and if you beat Dexio, he gives you both items, and you are free to continue to the Battle Tree where you can buy various Mega Stones for BattlePoints (BP)
yes i did.
Soooooooo, can you readd it please?
Adrizz (talk) 21:11, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, I read it. The reason I undid it is because this is the type of thing you'd find in a walkthrough. Maybe a more concise, less detailed version could be added elsewhere on the page, but this is way too specific and in the wrong place.
- A lot of things that you write will be undone. A lot of things I've added have been undone. After some time, you will get a grasp on the type of style and information Bulbapedia strives for. --Celadonkey 21:20, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
