Release information
This card was included in the Gym Challenge expansion with artwork by Ken Sugimori, first released in the Japanese Yamabuki City Gym Theme Deck. It was reprinted as a Wizards Black Star Promo with different artwork by Atsuko Nishida and was available in the October 2000 issue of Nintendo Power magazine. In Japan, this print was an Unnumbered Promotional card made available on a two-card insert alongside Blaine's Growlithe in the March 1999 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released on February 15, 1999.
