Given its similarity to both moths/butterflies and damselflies/dragonflies, does anyone else think that Masquerain could draw inspiration from kalligrammatids [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalligrammatidae]? In addition to lacewings superficially resembling damselflies (in fact, both were considered Neuroptera at one point[https://www.amentsoc.org/insects/fact-files/orders/neuroptera.html]), these ancient lacewings also had eyespots. Biggest Generational Buff
Unless I'm unaware otherwise, but I think Masquerain got the biggest buff base stat wise out of all other Pokémon, with it gaining +40 to its BST. --Mjmannella (talk) 02:56, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
Physiology
Given its similarity to both moths/butterflies and damselflies/dragonflies, does anyone else think that Masquerain could draw inspiration from kalligrammatids [1]? In addition to lacewings superficially resembling damselflies (in fact, both were considered Neuroptera at one point[2]), these ancient lacewings also had eyespots.
