Will anyone mind if I replace the current table with this one? I took some time to make it look a bit better than the current one. –MasterKenobi 18:36, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Change the border size and make the headings match the original ones on the current table. Maybe find the Japanese names for the Apricorns too. Then we'll talk. —darklordtrom 21:15, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Border size is now fixed, and the headings match the current table. I will go look around for the Japanese names for the Apricorns. –MasterKenobi 19:30, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Just added the Japanese names of the Apricorns. -MasterKenobi 19:40, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Awesome. Seeing as someone did decide to remove the links, I've overwritten with your table. Thanks for your hard work :D —darklordtrom 21:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- No problem Trom, glad to be of help. –MasterKenobi 23:11, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Blue and Red Apricorn sprites
They look different than the others. Why? Is it a different location sprite or are they fake? --ケンジのガール 21:01, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- The image size is different, so they're just scaled down (and with more whitespace). I doubt they're fake. CP and Sketch uploaded them. —darklordtrom 21:46, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Trading?
It's not explained in the article, and I think it's important to keep it clear so, what happens if you trade a pokemon caught with apicorn balls to D/P/P? Does the Johto game patch the Sinnoh game to make them appear? do they appear like Gen III pokeballs? or simply aren't tradeable? hfc2X 07:47, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- Being that they have the same emerging animation, I suspect that they will look like regular Poké Balls on DPPt. --ケンジのガール 07:49, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- but if you can't give them to a pokémon to hold then it's not posible to trade it over to DPPt... i assume? —Mada-sama (Talk to me!)— 12:56, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- Exactly. —darklordtrom 21:59, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

The question was not for holding, as its clear that they cannot be held, but for the status screen of a Pokémon caught with apricorn balls. Well, they look like regular Pokéballs. That was it. hfc2X 00:34, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Japanese name
Anyone have any idea what the Japanese name is supposed to be? The "guri" is obviously from "chestnut" (kuri) but I've yet to figure out the bon.—Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 08:28, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- It seems to be a pun on the ニホングリ (nihonguri), or the Japanese Chestnut. Considering the Apricorns themselves are literally bonguri no mi "Fruit/nut/seed of the Bonguri" in Japanese, this would make the most sense if you saw what a Japanese Chestnut looked like. HGSS
Can you still make Poké balls out of the Apricorns in HGSS SpecialK Leiks Lucario and The Celebi Glitch 16:20, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yes. This was in the article. —darklordtrom 22:39, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Glitch
Is there a glitch to stop them from growing? None of my Apricorn trees in SS have anything growing today, I haven't picked them since yesterday morning (and I have not tampered with the game or the system). The only thing different I did was I imported Pokemon from my FireRed game using the Pal Park, maybe that did it? In addition, Kurt is STILL working on the ones I gave to him yesterday morning (over 24 hours ago). TJ Spyke 15:12, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- Did you play the game on a different DS? If so, that's definitely the trigger. The time is set back another 24 hours. ht14 15:35, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yes I did. I normally play it on my DSi, but I had to use my DS Lite to transfer the Pokemon since the DSi has no GBA slot. This is a major screw-up by Nintendo. TJ Spyke 16:32, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Locations
I think it would be useful to have a map showing the locations of all the trees. Does anyone else agree? Object In Space 07:32, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
How did they work?
Has this ever been mentioned in any media? I know they never really explain pokeballs, except on the anime and then only kinda, but has there been in any pokemon thing something that explained, in terms of accuracy relative to the depiction of pokeballs, how they work? If not feel free to ignore this, but its even more abstract than the pokeballs which are at least mechanical. I dislike loose ends.PowerPlantRaichu 02:38, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
Black & White?
just wondering, the list includes a description for the apricorns in B/W. are they actually coded into the games, or was that an error by who made the table? Maddiesapphire 19:57, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Is there a source for Pokeballs being made 400-700 years ago?
The closest thing to a source for the second paragraph's claim on the timeframe references the Orange Islands. Is this an anime-only thing? If so I think it would be important to specify that since the video games and anime are known to have their own separate lore at this point. KikiAsh (talk) 23:41, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
