Undubbed character This article is about a character featured in the Pokémon anime who has not yet debuted in the English language dub.
As such, their information may contain romanized Japanese names, rather than dub names.
Masaya

(Japanese: マサヤ Masaya) is a character of the day who appeared in SS008. His hometown is Snowpoint City.

Masaya and his Empoleon competed in the annual Pokémon Drift Ice Race. In a previous competition, he and Empoleon barely lost to Misaki and her Piplup, winning second place as a result. One year later, Masaya and Empoleon competed in the race again, with Misaki, Ash, and Go also competing. Empoleon managed to take the lead alongside Misaki's Piplup, but Team Rocket showed up and caught most of the competing Pokémon in a net. Although the Pokémon were ultimately freed, this disturbance caused the race to be cancelled, with no winner being declared. After this, Masaya joined Misaki in waving Ash and Go goodbye as they returned to Kanto.
