This Movie doesn't show Pokemon from the next Gen?
I just noticed that unlike...
- (Gen 1) Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pokemon Movie 2000 which showcased Gen 2 Pokemon
- (Gen 2) Pokemon Heroes which showcased Gen 3 Pokemon
- (Gen 3) Destiny Deoxys, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew and Pokemon Rangers and the Mansion of the Sea showcased Gen 4 Pokemon
- (Gen 4) Zoroark the Master of Illusion showcased Gen 5 Pokemon
- (Gen 5) Genosect and the Legend Awakened showcased Gen 6 Pokemon
- (Gen 6) Volcanian and the Mechanical Marvel showcased Gen 7 Pokemon
This movie which is a remake to Mewtwo Strikes Back showcased no Gen 8 Pokemon whatsoever.

- Yeah, that is pretty weird. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:25, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
- So...? TheFatPanda (talk) 00:05, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
- I guess the user wants to include a point of trivia about that here. While I don't think that would fit in this article, specifically, I've edited the Sun & Moon series article's "Trivia" section to reflect that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:06, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
People seem to have started covering the movie in character articles in a way which seems redundant: making a separate "In M22" section that says "[character] appeared in MSB’s remake, where they serve the same role as in the original".
Personally, I suggest we approach documenting the movie in the same way as with the two versions of M14: just have a single summary of what the characters do in the movie, while noting any differences should they come up. TheFatPanda (talk) 20:14, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- M14 is different because it was a movie multi-pack that was released at the same time. M22 is a remake of a movie that was released around two decades ago. And considering the differences between the two movies, it can be said M22 is set in a continuity different from M01's no matter how slight. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:51, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- With its release on DVD, and thus the incoming flow of content on it, what is the final word on this subject? Is it definitely "put an M22 section that describes any relevant changes?" --The Great Butler (talk) 06:57, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not sure right now. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:12, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
English title
Is there a source for the English title that has been provided? I'm using Serebii and I don't think it was ever confirmed there, at least from the homepage perspective. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:15, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- It appears that the title is the English title used for the Anime Expo screening, but won't necessarily be the dub title. --SnorlaxMonster 09:16, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- I see. So should this information be removed from the article, then? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:19, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
TV Airing
Will this be shown on CITV in the UK Istiyaq (talk) 21:07, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

- It most likely will be. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 12:24, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
To Add To Trivia (Differences Between Remake and Orignial: Names of Pokémon)
I know another thing to add to the section discussing the differences between the remake and the original movie.
In the original movie, some of the Pokémon are called by the incorrect names. For example, Pigeot was called Pigeotto, Scyther was called Alakazam and Sandslash was called Sandshrew.
In the remake, the Pokémon are called by the correct names. Macpika (talk) 20:46, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
