The groups of 5 cards were incorporated into phased releases available with certain products for a limited time. Round 1 ran from April 17-30, 2020; round 2 ran from May 1-14, 2020. | |||

With the official release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game in Thailand, The Pokémon Company produced a collection of SM-P Promotional cards to accompany cards released during the Thai Sun and Moon Era. These cards feature the same SM-P suffix and "PROMO" symbol used on the equivalent Japanese collection but comprise different cards. The first card available was Pikachu, previously a Korean-exclusive release, which was given away with the purchase of a Legends Awakened Set A and Set B booster box as part of an event celebrating its launch. The majority of subsequent cards were awarded at participating locations hosting Pokémon TCG Gym meetings, which operate much like Pokémon Leagues outside Asia. These events typically comprise tutorial sessions for beginners, casual Pokémon Card Day events, and Gym Battle events held on different days, though the events stores host vary.
The distribution method of Pokémon TCG Gym promotional cards has differed since its inception. The first season, held between June 14 and August 4, 2019, offered different pools of cards depending on the event. Participants of the tutorial sessions were given 1 of 3 possible cards; top ranking players in Pokémon Card Day events were given 1 of 5 possible cards; top ranking players in Gym Battle events were given 1 of 7 possible cards. The second season, held between and October 5 and November 17, 2019, similarly offered different pools of cards depending on where players ranked in Gym Battle events. Those placing first were given a unique set of 5 cards; those placing second were given a unique set of 3 cards; those placing third and fourth shared a unique pool of 4 cards—3 were randomly given to third place finishers, the remaining 1 was given to fourth place finishers; 4 participants each received 1 random card from a unique pool of 4 cards as part of a Lucky Draw; every participant received 1 random card from a unique pool of 4 cards for competing. These cards, as well as those awarded at subsequent Pokémon TCG Gym events, all feature the Pokémon TCG Gym logo. Starting with the third season, prize pools consisted of two unique sets of 10 cards for those competing in either Pokémon Card Day events or Gym Battle events. These sets were broken down further, with 5 cards available for the first two weeks and the other 5 available for the last two weeks. Participants of Pokémon Card Day events received 1 random card from that week's pool. Players placing first in Gym Battle events received all 5 cards from that week's pool; players placing second received 3 random cards; players placing third received 2 random cards. The third season ran from February 15 to March 13, 2020.
The fourth season was intended to run from March 28 to April 24, 2020; however, all scheduled meetings were canceled due to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic. To this end, official organizers of the TCG in Thailand promoted the FunFromHome initiative, which encouraged people to continue enjoying the game from home. Promotional cards that were due for release as part of the fourth season were instead available as gifts with purchase from thirteen online retailers—a campaign named "Bring the Gym Battle Home". The groups of 5 cards were incorporated into phased releases available with certain products for a limited time. Round 1 ran from April 17-30, 2020; round 2 ran from May 1-14, 2020.
