Lost Leader Strategy! (Japanese: ルカリオ!怒りのはどうだん!! Lucario! Pulse Bomb of Anger!!) is the 66th episode of Diamond & Pearl. It first aired in Japan on February 7, 2008, and in the US on July 19, 2008.
The group are introduced to Maylene and Ash immediately asks for Gym Battle. However, Maylene declines his request because she has lost her self-confidence as a Gym Leader due to Paul...

- Paul's Murkrow is revealed to have evolved into Honchkrow.
- Paul is revealed to have a Magmar on his team.
- Paul is revealed to have won the Cobble Badge.
- Paul is revealed to have left his Electabuzz under the care of his brother, Reiji.
- Reiji is revealed to have traveled through Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and the Battle Frontier before, getting the eight badges of each region and six of the seven Frontier Symbols.
- Ash battles against Reiji:
- Ash's Turtwig defeats Reiji's Bibarel.
- Ash's Staravia is defeated by Reiji's Swalot.
- Ash's Pikachu defeats Reiji's Staraptor, and Ash wins the battle.
