Factory Head Noland (Japanese: ファクトリーヘッド ダツラ, Factory Head Datsura; French: Sam; German: Kevin; Italian: Savino; Spanish: Sabino) is the Frontier Brain in charge of the Battle Frontier's Battle Factory. His English name is pronounced like "knowledge". His German name is similar to "kenntnis"("knowledge"). His French name is similar to "savoir"("knowledge"). His Italian name could derive from "sapere"("knowlegde") or from "savio"("wise"). His Spanish name cames from "sabiduria"("knowledge").

His position as head of the factory allows Noland to view the Battle Swap data for any trainers. He instructs others that just reading isn't enough to learn about Pokémon, instead a trainer must gain experience. He battles with rental Pokémon the same as any trainer in the Battle Factory, and awards the Knowledge Symbol onto the Frontier Pass of trainers who defeat him.
