Suicine is the embodiment of the North Wind, one of the three Legendary Dogs created by Ho-Oh after the burning of Burned Tower.
It appeared twice in the Pokémon anime. In the movie Voice of the Forest, it demonstrated its ability to purify water, and did battle with Celebi. In the episode For Ho-Oh the Bells Toll, it appeared in Ecruteak after one of the crystal bells from the Tin Tower was destroyed.
Suicune is pursued, both in the anime and Crystal version, by Eusine.
