*Considering it evolves by knowing Ancient Power like Piloswine which also evolves into a pokemon that seems to be based off of an extinct animal, chances are it is based off the prehistoric insect. | |||

Name
I always thought Yanmega/Megayanma was Yanma (obvious) and Mega, as in great, large, better, not this odd prehistoric insect. Couldn't Mega be the source? ---Sk8torchic
- Considering it evolves by knowing Ancient Power like Piloswine which also evolves into a pokemon that seems to be based off of an extinct animal, chances are it is based off the prehistoric insect.
