They thought that the Sunflora were cheering for their marriage. They returned to the flowerland to celebrate with the Sunflora but they could no longer find them. What they found was only a {{p|Sunkern}}. Seeing this, Ash suggested to evolve the Sunkern with the Sun stone he won as prizes in the [[Bug-Catching Contest]]. Marcello (Japanese: マルチェロ Marcello) is a character of the day that appears in Moving Pictures. He is voiced by 阪脩 Osamu Saka in Japanese.
He lives with his wife, Sophia, at the Sunflora Lodge, which they both run. Sophia and Marcello have been married for fifty years, and they take an anniversary picture on the south slope every year with hundreds of Sunflora. The year was the 50th anniversary for his marriage with his wife. 50 years ago, they meet up with a school of Sunflora in a flowerland. They thought that the Sunflora were cheering for their marriage. They returned to the flowerland to celebrate with the Sunflora but they could no longer find them. What they found was only a Sunkern. Seeing this, Ash suggested to evolve the Sunkern with the Sun stone he won as prizes in the Bug-Catching Contest.
