#Redirect Pokémon trainer

In Pokémon video games, you play a Trainer who attempts to catch all Pokémon, as well as battle all the Gym Leaders.

A Trainer catches a Pokémon by finding it in the wild, and battling them using their own Pokémon. Once the wild Pokémon is weak, the trainer will then throw an object known as a Poké Ball at it. This small, round ball will open and capture the Pokémon if it has been weakened enough. The caught Pokémon now belongs to the Trainer.

Trainers also train their Pokémon. They do so by engaging their Pokémon in battles with wild Pokémon or other Trainers' Pokémon.
