If you were looking for Gary's sister, who is also sometimes known as May, see Daisy Oak.
If you were looking for the Pokémon game character, see May (game).

May (Japanese: ハルカ Haruka, German: Maike, French: Flora, Italian: Vera, Spanish: Aura) is a ten-year-old girl travelling through Hoenn with Ash, Brock, and her little brother Max. She is the daughter of Norman and Caroline, and her first Pokémon was a Torchic.

May is a Pokémon Coordinator who enters her Pokémon in Pokémon Contests to win ribbons.

May is the first person in the Pokémon anime to catch a Generation IV Pokémon -- she caught Munchlax in the episode Berry Berry Interesting!.

May also has an image song, I won't lose! ~May's theme~, performed by KAORI. It was first used as the background music in the episode The Red Inazuma of Skyscrapers! and again in next episode, Decisive Game! May VS Brock!.

She is voiced by KAORI in the original, by Veronica Taylor in the English-language dub and by Tatiane Keplemaier in the brazilian dub.
