I'm curious; is there any difference between this move and {{m|Protect}}? They seem to both have the exact same effect, only Protect has double the PP. If your Pokémon has both moves, you can alternate between Protect and Detect, essentially giving you 15 turns of invincibility (and that's before taking PP-raising items into account). Diachronos 16:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
