Professor Alder is a Pokémon professor living in the Sinnoh region along lake Verity's western front. Alder's field of study is Pokémon psychology; he conducts research with the aid of his assistant Hypno, and helps abandoned and abused Pokémon overcome their troubles using hypno-therapy.
