Trivia
- The episode's title is a parody on Fairy Tales.
- This episode title is almost identical to that of a chapter in the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga, Clefairy Tale.
- Near the end of this episode, a chef said he was going to cook chicken. This leads reason to believe that animals may exist in the Pokémon world.
- This episode raised many theories on which Pokémon are indeed aliens. Many believe that alien Pokémon are in fact Pokémon in the Fairy Egg Group. The evidence backing this theory is the fact that the scanner beeped when near Clefairy, Jigglypuff, and Misty (holding Togepi, which evolves into Togetic). In addition, some could say that when Oswald's scanner beeps when detecting Team Rocket's "aliens", it was actually beeping when Ash approached it with Pikachu, another member of the Fairy egg group.
- Team Rocket, disguised as aliens, mutter something that is heard as "nomekop," which happens to be the word "Pokémon" said backwards.
Errors
- The box for the VHS tape of this episode has Oswald's name as "Orville".
- In this episode, Jigglypuff was shown to be taller than Clefairy, when in actuality, it is the other way around.
- When the gang falls out of the rocket ship on to the skyscraper, they don't have Brock's backpack, but later he is seen wearing it.
