Stop removing the controversy paragraph!
Honestly, I added that in because such a thing actually existed. Heck, a high-class editor, Fabuvinny, even thought adding it in was a good idea. so please, don't remove it, especially since it was already given a greenlight by someone on the level of Fabuvinny or Kenji-girl. Weedle Mchairybug 04:35, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Evkl and TTE agreed on removing it. Like I said. -Sketch 04:36, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hah, yeah. When we have about 10 people saying remove it, two people won't do much. MaverickNate 04:37, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Even if one of these people is basically Bulbapedia's equivalent of a veteran mod? Weedle Mchairybug 04:39, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- You know WM, many people like me were upset about Tracey leaving. May fans were upset about May leaving. And I'm sure what ever fans Max had were also upset about his departure. Do we mention them on their articles No. We were giving Misty special treatment. And don't tell me Misty is acceptable because she has a lot more fans. It's still bias. --ケンジのガール 04:40, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- You know, I think you should talk with Fabu-Vinny about the whole thing, because, guess what, he not only agreed with the statement at hand, but he even said that the fans reaction to May's removal wasn't even close to the outcry that the fans had in regards to Misty leaving. Also, Bias? Literally everything in Bulbapedia has a degree of Bias. Literally anything we say has a degree of bias. Should we just destroy this entire site just to keep it unbiased? Besides, the whole Brock/Tracey thing was a fan controversy as well, should we delete that from the site as well? Heck, how about the Togepi Controversy, the Buizel controversy? Weedle Mchairybug 04:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- I already deleted the Togepi contraversy. As for the Tracey/Brock thing, that is a fact as the former director stated it himself. --ケンジのガール 04:50, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- So what if it was confirmed by the former director himself, it was still an ongoing fan controversy, therefore it should be deleted. Weedle Mchairybug 04:56, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- We never stated it was a controversy. We just stated what the director said. --ケンジのガール 04:58, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Even so, the mere fact that Articles that serve nothing more than to cater to the fans/bias, and even just sentences makes me think that, if you guys should remove this to delete fan-related things/bias, why don't we just destroy this whole site? I mean, in order to achieve true unbias, we must remove all thinking, we must have the entire site be run by robots, and all that, as that's the only way something can be considered 100% unbiased in actuality. Weedle Mchairybug 05:08, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, now you're not making sense anymore... All I'm saying is that we shouldn't mention a controversy of a departure of one character when we don't do it for another character.--ケンジのガール 05:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Even if its necesarry to talk about the controversy we really shouldn't have an entire seperate page for it. --Landfish7 15:01, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Sigh, fine, do whatever (Though having the whole Tracey/Brock debacle, regardless of whether it was settled by someone who works with the show or not, was still technically fanwank, as it's a common fan controversy, and therefore, regardless of confirmation, should be removed.). But can you at least keep the Mayumi Iizuka blog thing in the trivia? I mean, considering how Brock's article got away with the whole "Eric Stuart confirmed that Brock's last name is Harrison" thing in the trivia, keeping the Mayumi Iizuka blog would be fair enough. I'd add it back in myself, but, as stated before, I can't edit the articles due to it possibly being permanently locked out on editing. Weedle Mchairybug 11:48, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- Another thing I should point out. The Masamitsu Hidaka thing should NOT be mentioned in the article, either. I mean, there's still a degree of controversy on whether what he said was legit or not (For goodness sakes, even the biggest of the "Misty cannot return" fans, Kasumi, a mod on BMGf, and a co-owner of the Misty club on there, had stated that his statement isn't set in stone.).
- Plus, considering how he didn't even know about Pokemon Platinum being in development, despite, oh... I don't know, Corocoro having covered the development of the game to death, most of everyone and their brother knowing about it, the fact that two Alternate forms that debuted in Platinum appeared in a certain Pokémon Blockbuster, among other things, when he earlier bragged about how Ash and Pikachu are going to be part of the show for as long as the Games keep selling, not to mention he and his writing staff's lie about Ash's father appearing in Season 5 in that director's commentary in the Entei Movie, that definitely can't be inserted into the article, not even in the Trivia section. I mean, we don't mention the fact that he said that most of Ash's old pokémon will be making appearances in any of their trivia sections/articles, so why's this any different.
